Book III: Health protection and the environment

Officers appointed as radiation protection inspectors pursuant to articles R. 1333-168 and R. 1333-169 may be authorised, by the administrative authority that is entitled to appoint them, to investigate and record the breaches provided for in article L. 1337-1-1 falling within their remit, in accordance with the procedures provided for in articles R. 1333-168 to R. 1333-171.

Agents authorised under the conditions provided for in article R. 1337-11 shall take an oath, before the judicial court in whose jurisdiction their administrative residence is located, to perform their duties faithfully and well, to observe in all respects the duties imposed upon them and not to reveal or use information protected by law that has come to their knowledge in the course of their duties. Authorised and sworn agents exercise their prerogatives within the territorial limits of their department or establishment of assignment and, for agents belonging to central administration departments, throughout the national territory.
