A natural mineral water and a spring water may be packaged on the same packaging line, provided that the operator is able to provide, at any time, proof of the nature of the packaged water with regard to the sales name appearing on the labelling. The operator guarantees the traceability of the packaged water on the packaging line.
The reuse of recycled natural mineral water in a spa establishment for therapeutic purposes is prohibited, except in communal baths.
Monitoring is the responsibility of the operator and includes any operation to check compliance with the legislative and regulatory provisions relating to the water in question.
Health inspections are carried out by the Director General of the Regional Health Agency. It includes any of the checks mentioned in article R. 1321-15.

The programme of analyses for monitoring natural mineral water includes a main part defined in article R. 1322-41 and an additional part defined by the operator according to the hazards identified in application of the provisions of article R. 1322-29.
