A declaration is required for all sporting events which take place in whole or in part on a public road or a road open to public traffic, or on its ancillary roads, and which: 1° Either constitute events, races or competitions involving timekeeping, a ranking, based in particular either on the highest speed achieved or on a set average, or a timetable fixed in advance; 2° Or constitute events without…
In the disciplines for which they have been delegated, the delegating federations lay down the technical and safety rules applicable to the events mentioned in article R. 331-6. The specific regulations for these events comply with these technical and safety rules, which may not be adapted on the basis of article L. 131-7.
The organiser of an event mentioned in 2° of article R. 331-6 submits a declaration to the territorially competent prefect no later than one month before the date of the event.
