Another means of payment may be used to replace the special payment voucher, subject to the prohibitions on cash payments set out in articles L. 112-6 to L. 112-8 of the French Monetary and Financial Code.

Compulsory or optional social benefits in the form of benefits in kind intended to cover all or part of the cost of the services mentioned in B of article L. 1271-1 may be paid in the form of a special payment voucher.

Legal entities governed by public law may acquire special pre-funded payment vouchers, under the conditions set out in article L. 1271-12, at a price equal to their settlement value plus, where applicable, a commission.
