Article R6422-4 of the French Labour Code

Within thirty calendar days of receipt of the request for leave, the employer shall notify the employee in writing of its agreement or of the service reasons for postponing the leave. This postponement may not exceed six months from the date of the request. If the employer does not reply within thirty calendar days of receiving the request for leave, this shall be deemed to be approval.
