The provisions set out in articles L. 2122-4 and L. 2122-7, in the first and second paragraphs of article L. 2122-8 and article L. 2122-13, apply to the election of the chairman of the trade union commission. The chairman’s term of office expires when his successor is installed.

The resignations of the members of the syndicate commission shall be addressed to the president, who shall inform the mayor and the prefect or sub-prefect. The resignation of the president shall be addressed to the mayor, who shall inform the prefect or sub-prefect. Additional elections shall be held when more than one third of the members of the commission have ceased to hold office for whatever reason. .

The chairman and members of the trade union commission receive no allowance or remuneration.
