In the event of a dispute or difficulty of interpretation as to whether an audiovisual work belongs to a given genre for inclusion on the list of reference works, the President of the Centre national du cinéma et de l’image animée may consult the specialist committee responsible for awarding selective grants.
The sums representing the automatic financial aid to which production companies are entitled are calculated on the basis of the value of the minute produced, known as the “minute point”, defined as the ratio existing between, on the one hand, the amount of credits allocated to automatic aid, excluding advances, and, on the other hand, the weighted duration of the works included on the list of reference works.
The weighted duration is set for each genre of audiovisual work. It may give rise, depending on the case, to bonuses or increases depending in particular on the conditions under which the works were made, their intended purpose and their broadcasting conditions, in accordance with the conditions laid down in Articles 311-43 to 311-49.
For each reference work, the sum representing the automatic financial assistance calculated is obtained by multiplying the value of the minute point by its weighted duration.
