For a single audiovisual work, the amount of aid granted may not exceed 40% of the amount of the preparation expenses and may not exceed €100,000.For audiovisual works in the animation genre that are original creations, the 40% limit is raised to 50%. For series, this latter limit applies only to sums allocated for the preparation of the first season.
Selective financial aid is awarded to production companies to support the production of audiovisual works belonging to the music video genre intended for public distribution in France, which have artistic and technical qualities, while promoting creative diversity.
To be eligible for financial support, music videos must be produced by delegated production companies that hold the intellectual property rights for at least two distinct modes of exploitation, at least for the territory of the European Union and for a minimum period of three years.

A minimum of ten days’ work is required for music videos, covering all of the following positions: director, cinematographer, editor, colourist, animator, graphic designer and set designer, including a minimum of four days for the director.
To receive aid, the application must be submitted before the shooting begins.
The decision to award a grant is taken on the advice of the Commission des aides aux vidéomusiques.
The cost of producing the pre-existing musical composition is not taken into account when determining the amount of aid.
The aid is paid as follows: – 75% at the time of the award decision;– 25% after presentation, no later than one year after the award decision, of the supporting documents mentioned on the list annexed to this book.
