The distribution of seats between professional categories and sub-categories is made taking into account the tax bases of the nationals, the number of nationals and the number of employees they employ. No professional category may have a representation greater than half the number of seats.

The electoral rolls are drawn up under conditions laid down by decree in the Conseil d’Etat by a commission chaired by the judge responsible for supervising the trade and companies register and are subject to the provisions of Article L. 20 of the Electoral Code.

For the election of the members of the territorial and regional chambers of commerce and industry, each elector shall have as many votes as he or she is qualified to cast pursuant to Article L. 713-1.
