The surveillance and rescue organisation plan may provide for the operator to organise periodic drills to simulate the alarm phase, so that personnel can be trained in search and rescue operations.
All permanent or casual staff of the establishment must be familiar with the surveillance and rescue organisation plan, transmitted in accordance with the conditions set out in article D. 322-16. The operator must ensure that these staff are able to apply the said plan.
An extract from this plan is displayed in a place where everyone can see it, particularly at the edge of the baths. In particular, users must be able to read the provisions relating to alarm procedures. To this end, instructions must be easily legible.
The health and safety standards applicable to swimming pools are set out in the amended Order of 7 April 1981 on the technical provisions applicable to swimming pools and the amended Order of 29 November 1991 on the health and safety rules applicable to swimming pools and landscaped bathing areas.
Technical and safety guarantees for equipment in the establishments mentioned in article D. 322-12, where aquatic, bathing or swimming activities are practised, are governed by this paragraph. They are without prejudice to the provisions relating to public safety and accessibility for disabled people in establishments open to the public.
Any equipment or material requiring special use will have a sign that everyone can understand, specifying the correct way to use it, as well as prohibited uses and areas or precautions for use.
