The operator of an establishment mentioned in article L. 322-1 is required to inform the Prefect : a) Any serious accident ; b) Any situation which presents or has presented serious risks in terms of probability and possible consequences for the health and physical or moral safety of participants.
The health and safety guarantees as well as the technical standards mentioned in article L. 322-2 are set by order of the Minister for Sport and the ministers concerned after consultation with the sports federation holding the delegation mentioned in article L. 131-14 for the disciplines concerned.
In the cases mentioned in article R. 322-6, the Prefect shall order an investigation to establish the circumstances in which the accident occurred or in which the situation became apparent.
