If the consumer simultaneously signs a timeshare contract and an exchange contract, a single withdrawal period applies to both contracts.

The time limits set out in the provisions of articles L. 224-79, L. 224-80 and L. 224-81 that expire on a Saturday, Sunday or public or bank holiday are extended until the next working day.

The consumer who intends to exercise his right of withdrawal shall notify his decision to the trader before the expiry of the periods defined in articles L. 224-79, L. 224-80 and L. 224-81, by registered letter with acknowledgement of receipt or, failing this, by any other means offering equivalent guarantees enabling proof of dispatch. The trader may not, directly or indirectly, pass on to the consumer exercising his right of withdrawal any costs, including those relating to any services provided prior to the exercise of his right of withdrawal.

The trader may not request or receive from the consumer, in any form whatsoever, payment in advance, provision of guarantees, acknowledgement of debts or a reserve of money in accounts, for the services covered by the contracts mentioned in article L. 224-69 and defined in 1°, 2° and 4° of article L. 224-70, or any other remuneration for himself or for a third party before expiry of the withdrawal periods…

Where the consumer exercises his right of withdrawal from the timeshare or long-term holiday product contract, any ancillary contract, including the exchange contract, shall be terminated ipso jure without cost or compensation.The ancillary contract means a contract by which the consumer acquires services related to a timeshare contract or long-term holiday product contract, these services being provided by the trader or a third party on the basis of an agreement…

With regard to the long-term holiday product contracts mentioned in article L. 224-70, payment shall be made in accordance with a staggered payment schedule from which no exceptions may be made. Payments, including any contributions, are divided into annual instalments, each of equal value. The professional shall send a request for payment in writing, on paper or on any other durable medium, at least fourteen days before each due date.

Where payment of the price is made in whole or in part by means of credit granted to the consumer by the trader or through a third party, the exercise by the consumer of his right of withdrawal from the timeshare, long-term holiday product, resale or exchange contract shall entail the automatic termination, without costs or compensation, of the credit agreement.
