The same author can only receive one grant for an author’s career.
In order to be eligible for support for the author’s career, the project must comply with Commission Regulation (EU) No 1407/2013 of 18 December 2013 on the application of Articles 107 and 108 of the Treaty on the Functioning of the European Union to de minimis aid.
The application for support is submitted by the author or jointly by the two authors.
The decision to award a grant is taken on the advice of the Commission des aides au parcours d’auteur, after consultation with reading committees in accordance with the procedures set out in 1° of article 122-5.
Aid is awarded in the form of a grant.It may also be decided that the author(s) of the project will be mentored by a member of the committee.
The amount of the grant is set at €20,000.When the application is submitted by two authors, the amount of the grant is shared as agreed between them.The grant is paid in a single instalment at the time of the award decision.
The beneficiary or beneficiaries of aid have a period of one year from the date of the award decision to provide the Centre national du cinéma et de l’image animée with proof of the progress of the project.In exceptional circumstances and at the reasoned request of the beneficiary or beneficiaries, the aforementioned period may be extended by a period not exceeding six months, by decision of the President of the…
If an author is refused support, he or she may submit a new application from 1 January of the year following the year of the refusal decision.
The Commission des aides au parcours d’auteur is made up of ten members chosen, for each session, from a list drawn up each year by the President of the Centre national du cinéma et de l’image animée.For each session, the Commission appoints a chairperson from among its members.
The reading committees comprise two readers chosen from a list drawn up each year by the President of the Centre national du cinéma et de l’image animée and one member of the Commission des aides au parcours d’auteur.The composition and agenda of the meetings of each reading committee are set by the secretariat of the Commission.
