The centres have sufficient premises, allocated exclusively to them, and the material resources to enable them to carry out their duties around the clock. The information system common to all poison control centres is that defined in article R. 1340-6.

Each centre draws up an annual activity report, including an assessment of its practices and organisation. This report is drawn up in accordance with the model defined by order of the Minister for Health and submitted to the supervisory board of the regional hospital centre for deliberation.

The order of the Minister for Health establishing, in application of article L. 6141-4, the list of regional hospital centres which include a poison control centre specifies the geographical area in which each centre operates.

Entry on the list referred to in article L. 6141-4 is made at the request of the regional hospital centre, after deliberation by its supervisory board. It is subject to compliance with the provisions of Section 3 of Chapter I of Title I of Book I of this Part.

The application for registration, the content of which is laid down by order of the Minister for Health, is sent to the prefect of the region in which the poison control centre is located, then forwarded by this prefect, with his opinion, to the Minister for Health.

Failure to comply with the regulatory provisions mentioned in the second paragraph of article R. 6141-50 will result in the removal of the regional hospital centre from the list provided for in article L. 6141-4.
