Associate midwives benefit, under the same conditions as staff governed by decree no. 89-611 of 1st September 1989 on the special status of hospital civil service midwives: 1° from flat-rate allowances for work on Sundays and public holidays; 2° from hourly allowances for normal night work and an increase for intensive work.

Associate midwives are entitled to five working days’ training leave per year. The conditions for exercising this right are laid down by order of the Minister for Health. During their leave, associate midwives receive the emoluments mentioned in 1° of article R. 6152-545.

Associate midwives are entitled to annual leave of twenty-five working days. Associate midwives working part-time are entitled to this leave in proportion to the number of days they work. Associate midwives are entitled to maternity, adoption or paternity leave of a duration equal to that provided for by social security legislation, during which they receive the emoluments mentioned in 1° of article R. 6152-545.
