After the ethics interview provided for in the fifth paragraph of article L. 722-21, the judge has a period of eight days to amend, if necessary, his declaration of interests and to forward it in the form provided for in article R. 722-23.

The declaration of interests may be consulted by the judge concerned as well as by the authority to which the declaration was submitted. The confidentiality of these declarations does not prevent them from being communicated to the Commission nationale de discipline des juges des tribunaux de commerce (National Disciplinary Commission for Commercial Court Judges) and to the Garde des sceaux, Minister of Justice, when disciplinary proceedings are initiated.

The initial training obligation provided for in Article L. 722-17 applies to elected commercial court judges who have never held office or who did not fulfil the said training obligation during their previous term of office. .
The period provided for in Article L. 722-17 is set at twenty months from the first day of the month following the election of the commercial court judge.

Initial training lasts eight days and is organised by the Ecole nationale de la magistrature . In particular, it covers lessons relating to judicial organisation, the principles of procedure, the operation of a court, professional ethics, as well as techniques for drafting judgments and conducting a hearing.
At the end of the training, the Ecole nationale de la magistrature will issue the commercial court judge with an individual training certificate, subject to attendance. It will inform the Minister of Justice. The commercial court judge will immediately hand over the individual training certificate to the president of the commercial court.
The duration of continuing education is two days during a calendar year.
