Article L733-16 of the French Code governing the entry and residence of foreign nationals and the right of asylum

When they are no longer under house arrest pursuant to 7° of article L. 731-3, foreign nationals subject to a French territorial ban may be required to declare the address of the premises where they reside to the administrative authority, police services or gendarmerie units and to report, when summoned, to these same services with a view to taking the necessary steps to enforce the territorial ban.
