An order issued by the ministers for labour and agriculture specifies the accreditation conditions and measurement methods used to check compliance of ventilation and sanitation in workplaces.
For the application of articles R. 4722-5 and R. 4722-6, an order of the ministers responsible for labour and agriculture lays down the conditions for the use of accreditation.
The technical inspections intended to verify, in application of articles R. 4412-27 and R. 4412-76, compliance with the occupational exposure limit values for chemical agents set by articles R. 4412-149 and R. 4412-150 are carried out by a body accredited in this field.
The accredited body, whose staff are bound by professional secrecy, is independent of the establishments it inspects. It has the specific skills required for each of the chemical agents on which it carries out technical inspections.
The accredited body draws up the sampling strategy, after consulting the employer, the occupational physician and the social and economic committee, if any. The employer provides the accredited body with all relevant data, in particular the results of the chemical risk assessment. Samples are taken by the accredited body at workstations in situations representative of exposure.
The accredited body that draws up the sampling strategy and carries out the sampling at the company is in charge of the technical inspection. It may subcontract the analysis service to another accredited body.
Independently of the communication of the report provided for in article R. 4412-30, the body carrying out the technical inspection communicates the results to a national body designated by order of the ministers responsible for labour and agriculture. This body will use the results for research and evaluation purposes, while respecting the anonymity of the companies concerned.

An order by the Minister for Work determines : 1° The conditions for measuring dust levels in processes carried out by companies; 2° The conditions for checking compliance with the occupational exposure limit value; 3° The conditions for the accreditation of bodies carrying out the measurement of dust levels in accordance with the technical reference defined by the body responsible for accreditation for the sampling strategy, sampling and analysis.
Analyses to check compliance with the biological limit values set by decree are carried out by a body accredited in this field.
