When the patient is under the care of a departmental child welfare service, the director will send the confidential certificate from the head doctor of the service, stating the diagnosis and the probable length of hospitalisation, to the child welfare medical service in a sealed envelope within forty-eight hours of admission.
The property of adults under legal protection who are hospitalised in the establishment is administered under the conditions laid down by articles 436 and 498 of the Civil Code and by decree no. 2012-663 of 4 May 2012 relating to the methods of managing the property of protected persons, whose protection is entrusted to a legal representative, person or service entrusted by a legal person governed by public law.
Drug addicts who come voluntarily to an establishment for treatment may, if they expressly request it, be granted anonymity at the time of admission. This anonymity can only be lifted for reasons other than the repression of illicit drug use. Persons ordered by the judicial or health authorities to undergo a detoxification cure are admitted and discharged under the conditions set out in Articles L. 3413-1 to L. 3413-3.
Staff at all levels must be specially trained to receive patients and those accompanying them.
As soon as they arrive in the establishment, all in-patients receive the welcome booklet provided for in article L. 1112-2.
