Trade unions may set up special mutual aid and pension funds for their members. The funds of these funds may not be seized within the limits determined by the Code de la mutualité. Any person who withdraws from a trade union retains the right to be a member of the mutual aid and retirement societies for old age to whose assets he has contributed through contributions or payment of funds.
Regularly constituted professional trade unions may consult each other for the study and defence of their material and moral interests.
Unions of trade unions are subject to the provisions of articles L. 2131-1, L. 2131-3 to L. 2131-5, L. 2141-1 and L. 2141-2. They make known the name and registered office of the trade unions of which they are composed. Their articles of association determine the rules according to which the unions belonging to the union are represented on the board of directors and at general meetings.
Unions of trade unions enjoy all the rights conferred on professional trade unions by this Title.
Trade associations may register their trademarks or labels by completing the formalities set out in articles L. 712-1 et seq. of the French Intellectual Property Code. They may then claim exclusive ownership under the conditions set out in this code. Trademarks or labels may be affixed to any product or commercial object to certify the conditions of manufacture. They may be used by any individual or company marketing these products.
The use of trade union brands or labels may not have the effect of undermining the provisions of articles L. 2141-5 to L. 2141-8. Any agreement or provision tending to oblige the employer to hire or retain in his service only members of the trade union that owns the mark or label is null and void.

The professional trade unions of employees or employers, their unions and the associations of employees or employers mentioned in Article L. 2135-1 may, where their articles of association so provide, prepare combined accounts incorporating the accounts of the legal entities and entities with which they have membership or affiliation links, under conditions determined by decree issued after obtaining the opinion of the French Accounting Standards Authority (Autorité des normes comptables).
The accounts are drawn up by the management body and approved by the General Meeting of members or by a collegiate supervisory body designated by the Articles of Association.
