Article L. 6311-1 is applicable in the territory of the Wallis and Futuna Islands by replacing the words: “fire and rescue services” with the words: “territorial systems”.
Article L. 6312-1 is applicable in the territory of the Wallis and Futuna Islands.
Articles L. 6211-3 and L. 6211-3-1 are applicable to Wallis and Futuna in the wording resulting respectively from Law no. 2023-379 of 19 May 2023 on improving access to care by trusting healthcare professionals and Law no. 2016-41 of 26 January 2016.

Advancement to a higher step may be granted by the appointing authority, after consulting the Joint Committee, to staff members who have been awarded a mark higher than the average mark obtained by staff members in the same grade, provided that no more than one in three promotions may be made under these provisions.
A member of staff who is promoted within his own institution or after appointment to another institution shall be classified in his new grade at the step carrying a salary equal to or, failing that, immediately higher than that which he received in his former grade, the benefit of seniority acquired in the former step being maintained only in the event of reclassification at equal salary.
Periods of military training completed after entry into the hospital administration, sick leave, long-term leave and maternity leave are taken into account for advancement in step and grade. Compulsory military service is also taken into account, in accordance with the rules applicable to civil servants.
The table is prepared each year by the administration with which the relevant joint committees sit and submitted to these committees, which then act as promotion committees and submit their proposals to the appointing authority.
