The Commission gathers the information required to carry out its duties, in particular to evaluate the policy implemented to support people losing their independence and to draw up the regional health plan and the programme mentioned in article L. 312-5-1 of the Code of Social Action and Families. It informs its members and government departments of its needs in terms of statistics and studies.
The natural or legal persons mentioned in Articles D. 1432-1 and D. 1432-6, responsible for proposing or appointing full and alternate representatives, shall communicate their names to the Director General of the Regional Health Agency, within two months of the vacancy or the expiry of the terms of office. The Commissions are chaired by the Director General of the Regional Health Agency or his representative. They meet when convened by their Chairman, who sets the agenda, or at the request of one third of their members. Each committee meets at least once a year. The committees may hear any outside person whose opinion is likely to enlighten their work. They may set up technical committees of their own choosing.
Each committee draws up its own rules of procedure.
The Director General of the Regional Health Agency draws up an annual report on the activities of each commission. If, during his or her term of office, a member of the Supervisory Board falls under one of the incompatibilities or incapacities provided for in II of article L. 1432-3 of this code, his or her duties shall be terminated by a joint order of the ministers responsible for health, health insurance, the elderly and the disabled.
Any member who loses the capacity for which he was appointed ceases to be a member of the Supervisory Board.
